The principle of thermal paper:
Thermal printing paper is generally divided into three layers, the bottom layer is a paper base, the second layer is a thermal coating, and the third layer is a protective layer. The thermal coating or protective layer mainly affects its quality.
If the coating of the thermal paper is not uniform, it will cause the printing to be dark in some places and light in some places, and the print quality will be significantly reduced. If the chemical formula of the thermal coating is unreasonable, the storage time of the printing paper will change. Very short, good printing paper can be stored for 5 years after printing (under normal temperature and avoiding direct sunlight), and now there is a long-lasting thermal paper that can be stored for 10 years, but if the formula of the thermal coating is unreasonable It may only be stored for a few months.
The protective coating is also critical to the storage time after printing. It can absorb a part of the light that causes the chemical reaction of the thermal coating, slow down the deterioration of the printing paper, and protect the thermal element of the printer from damage, but if the protective coating The uneven layer will not only greatly reduce the protection of the thermal coating, but even the fine particles of the protective coating will fall off during the printing process, rubbing the thermal element of the printer, resulting in damage to the thermal element of the printing.
Thermal paper quality identification:
1. Appearance:If the paper is very white, it means that the protective coating and thermal coating of the paper are unreasonable. If too much phosphor is added, the better paper should be slightly green. The paper is not smooth or looks uneven, indicating that the paper coating is not uniform. If the paper seems to reflect very strong light, too much phosphor is added, and the quality is not good.
2. Fire roasting:The method of roasting with fire is also very simple. Use a lighter to heat the back of the paper. If the color that appears on the paper is brown after heating, it means that the heat-sensitive formula is not reasonable and the storage time may be relatively short. The black part of the paper has small streaks or uneven color blocks, indicating that the coating is uneven. The paper with better quality should be black-green (with a little green) after heating, and the color block is uniform, and the color gradually fades from the center to the surroundings.
3. Sunlight contrast identification:smear the printed paper with a highlighter and put it in the sun (this can accelerate the reaction of the thermal coating to light), which paper turns black fastest, indicating the longer the storage time short.
The thermal paper produced by Zhongwen adopts advanced processing technology with clear printing and no paper jam. It is loved by many banks and supermarkets, and its products are sold at home and abroad. If you need it, please contact us!
